Service and provider
Privy (隐知) is provided by Li Zheng, an individual developer. Contact: mrbananaeros@gmail.com. The service includes the iPhone learning app, this website and supporting learning information. Website previews describe current capabilities; distribution channels and territories depend on the actual release. A preview is not a claim of App Store approval or examination-body endorsement.
Learning purpose and scope
Privy supports learning about privacy and data protection, including topics relevant to CIPP/E preparation. It is an educational aid, not legal advice, an official exam bank or a prediction of examination results. Chinese translations and explanations are learning aids. Consult current authoritative legal texts for legal decisions. The current teaching path focuses on topics such as personal data, scope of application and processing principles; it does not promise complete syllabus coverage or a passing score.
Daily 45 minutes; no first-release purchases
The first release provides 45 minutes of free effective study time each day, with no subscription, Reset or in-app purchase. Time is counted only during valid foreground lesson, reading or practice sessions. Pausing, backgrounding or system locking stops the timer. Inactivity can pause a session. When time ends, you may finish an already-admitted question and read its explanation, then continue when the next local calendar day's allowance becomes available. Home, reports and settings remain accessible. Unused free time does not carry forward; daily rollover does not erase progress. Device time and local data integrity affect allowance records.
Any future paid feature must first have clear product information and purchase-time pricing and conditions. These terms do not authorize automatic charges. Simulated transactions in test builds are not payments and have no redeemable value.
Use and intellectual property
You may use the product for personal learning. Except as permitted by law or authorization, do not resell or redistribute protected content in bulk or infringe others' rights or system security. Rights in legislation and third-party materials follow their sources and applicable rules; these terms do not transfer them to the developer. Attribution alone does not establish a commercial license. Report a rights concern with the content location, basis of the claim and contact information so we can investigate and respond as required.
CIPP/E and IAPP names and marks belong to their respective rights holders. Privy is an independent learning product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by IAPP. Do not use it to obtain, disclose or distribute confidential real examination content.
Local records and support
No account is required. Learning records stay on your device. Deleting the app, losing the device or removing backups may lose those records. We provide no developer cloud backup or cross-device recovery service. See the Privacy Policy for data handling. Contact support about errors, source concerns or accessibility issues.
Updates, responsibility and statutory rights
We aim to maintain useful material but cannot guarantee that every legal or syllabus change is immediately reflected. Check original authoritative sources for important decisions. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or restricts mandatory consumer rights. Mandatory law prevails over a conflicting term. You may contact the developer to resolve concerns without giving up access to competent courts or regulators. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration or blanket no-refund condition.
For apps acquired through the App Store, Apple's standard end-user license agreement governs the app license. These service-use terms supplement it and do not replace Apple's mandatory provisions. Material changes will carry an updated date and legally required notice. A silent update will not retrospectively authorize charges.
